Updated page is updated. Just so you know, I have a brand new copy of "Spore" sitting in front of me that I purchased today after going to see The Dark Knight at the Providence Place IMAX. That copy is as yet unopened, because I was working on the comic instead. I HOPE YOU APPRECIATE THE SACRIFICES I MAKE FOR YOU. As a side note, looks like I answered my own question about "which to get, Mac or PC" because apparently the disk has both Mac and PC versions on it. So, yeah. Hmm, what else have I done or seen or whatever recently? I'm going to write it down here because I have the uneasy feeling that if I don't do this I'll forget about all of it. ( Some stuff. )

Dr Seward's Diary
7 September. – The first thing Van Helsing said to me when we met at Liverpool Street was:-
"Have you said anything to our young friend, the lover of her?"
"No," I said. "I waited till I had seen you, as I said in my telegram. I wrote him a letter simply telling him that you were coming, as Miss Westenra was not so well, and that I should let him know if need be."
"Right, my friend," he said, "quite right! ( Better he not know as yet; perhaps he will never know... )

My dear Art,
My news today is not so good. Lucy this morning had gone back a bit. ( There is, however, one good thing which has arisen from it... )

Hey, (as seen on 1Fort) somebody made an achievements generator for Team Fortress 2! I'm afraid I went a little crazy with it. ( Craaaaaaazy! )Also, a question for you Mac users out there. Spore seems to be available for both the Mac and the PC. Which version should I get? I'm leaning towards Mac just because I have no other Mac games at all (except for Diablo II, which doesn't even work since Apple thoughtfully broke 256 color support a few OS revisions back.)

Got into a discussion today in a Fark thread about the deplorable state of men's shorts. Seriously, if the shorts go past the knees they stop being shorts and just become flood pants. Pxtl said it was because men don't have sexy legs. I begged to differ.

I don't have quite enough for an Anti-Apollyon Diaries post, but in support of Drama Free Thursday it's time to put up in this space besides DRACULA. [Not that I'm tiring of DRACULA, mind you; now that Van Helsing's in the picture the action's going to be roller-coastery all through September.]
* Welcome to new Gentle Readers girlyengine, novelfriend, and zoethe.
* New entries at mikescomics.
* My porch is gradually becoming TARDIS-blue in color. We hadn't intended it as such, but it's a nice benefit.
* I spent yesterday applying for various jobs, full- and part-time. If any of my Gentle Readers in Wormtown and its surrounding towns know of any clerical openings, I'd love some leads, because the agency for whom I was dubbed their best ever "Super-Temp" has closed and can no longer place me. I am limited to those jobs accessible by public transportation, either the RTA or the commuter rail and T. [I'm a non-driver.]
* Chicken was on sale this week, so we have a whole flock in the fridge. I am making crockpot chicken soup today, and we've refilled our propane tank, so tomorrow we shall grill.
* I expect to be doing therealljidol this time around when it starts in the next few days/weeks. I need to flex my essay-muscles, and if there's anything this blog has been missing, it's anecdotes, if my tag-use statistics are to be believed. I try my best not to be a drama-llama, so it will be amusing to see if my Teflon coating is as good as I think it is, since it will need to stand up to others who try to make drama where there is none.
* A kiss and a cuddle to my dear wyldemusick... we finished DW Series Three last night. Our thanks to you for providing it to us.

My dear Art, -
Van Helsing has come and gone. He came on with me to Hillingham, and found that, by Lucy's discretion, her mother was lunching out, so that we were alone with her. Van Helsing made a very careful examination of the patient. ( He is to report to me, and I shall advise you... )
